But that's just not true. For instance, did you know that they are the youngest producers ever? Or that they are worth over $500 million?

For more, here are 10+ facts about the Olsen twins that are sure to change your perspective.

The Olsen twins are still among the most famous faces in Hollywood, even though they aren't acting in a ton of films anymore.

Because of their childhood and teen success (and even some scandals), they have kept their famous status and seemingly always will.

However, there is still plenty that people don't know about them even after all of these years!

Thankfully, we are here to help! This list is full of interesting facts about the famous sisters.

It's time to learn more about this iconic duo. Let's get into it!

1. They were cast in their first acting role at six months old.

ABC

They took turns playing Michelle Tanner from 1987 to 1995.

"They had so much emotion and they were adorable and they had these giant big blue eyes," Full House creator Jeff Franklin told Variety

"Every week, they were giving us something that we might have hoped for," he added.

One of the major reasons they landed Full House was because they didn't cry a lot during their audition.

For a baby, that's a hard feat.

2. John Stamos tried to get the girls fired from *Full House*.

ABC

While they didn't cry during their audition, they did cry a lot during filming which made things super hard.

"It was very difficult to get the shot," Stamos told reporters in 2015.

3. They are so supportive of their younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen.

They got her roles in a few of their movies.

This included How the West Was Fun, Our First Video, and the series, The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley.

She even played "Girl With Flowers" in *Full House*.

Finally, they named their fashion line "Elizabeth & James" after the Marvel star.

How cute is that? We love to see sisters supporting each other! It's so important that they aren't fueled by competition.

4. They had to wear dentures while filming *Full House*

This was for continuity purposes, as they split the role of Michelle Tanner on the show.

So if one was starting to lose their baby teeth, they would pop in the dentures to make their teeth look identical.

5. They became the youngest producers at the age of six.

We would have loved to see these six-year-olds leading a boardroom meeting!

At this age, the girls formed their own production company called Dualstar, which they used to produce many of their own movies.

6. They both had their first onscreen kisses in *Passport to Paris*.

Their two love interests were played by Brocker Way and Ethan Peck. It is definitely one of the cutest movies they have ever done.

But the most awkward on-screen kiss happened in 2001's Holiday in the Sun.

That's because a 15-year-old Ashley had to kiss a 22-year-old actor by the name of Ben Easter.

"I remember being a little bit nervous for our kissing scene because I was thinking, 'Oh my God, she is my brother's age and I'm kissing a girl that's my brother's age,'" he told Uproxx.

7. Mary-Kate was treated for an eating disorder in 2004.

After photos of the star looking scarily skinny came to light, she entered into an undisclosed facility for treatment.

“This is a challenge that Mary-Kate has made a decision to face,” her rep, Michael Pagnotta, said at the time.

8. They made Walk of Fame history.

In 2004, they became the first-ever twins to receive a joint star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This just goes to show that anything these girls do, they do together!

9. They were childhood BFFs with *Pretty Little Liars'* Troian Bellisario.

The girls lived across the street from each other in Los Angeles.

Pretty soon, Troian felt empathy for the fact that the twins didn't get to have a normal childhood.

10. They're not identical twins.

They're fraternal. For instance, Ashley was born two minutes before Mary-Kate and she's right-handed while Mary-Kate is left-handed.

Mary-Kate is also one inch taller than her sister. But both are shorter than Elizabeth who's 5'7".

11. They don't consider themselves actresses. Instead, they consider themselves a brand.

Becoming CEOs at such a young age is no easy feat, but these twins made it happen.

Ashely told WWD in 2013, "We couldn't see over the top of the table. I always looked at myself, even as a kid, as a businesswoman."

12. Mary-Kate is currently in the process of getting divorced.

The star's marriage to Olivier Sarkozy has always been a topic of discussion. That's because Olivier is 17 years her senior. At their wedding, they also had bowls filled with cigarettes.

Mary-Kate filed for divorce back in May.

13. They've retired from acting.

"I don't like to be the center of attention anymore," Ashley told Elle UK.

"It doesn't mean I'm not interested in Hollywood. I like the way it operates, I like the people who are involved and the sense of possibility."

She added that if she decides to rejoin the spotlight, it's not going to be as an actress.

These days, the twins are focused on their fashion empire, which has been insanely popular.

Together, they're worth roughly $500 million.

14. They consider their relationship a "marriage."

"It’s been 32 years of learning how to communicate," Ashley told WSJ. Magazine. Mary-Kate agreed, adding that "We do everything together. We came out of the womb doing that."

In other words, you won't find twins closer than these two!

15. They skipped their senior prom.

They had to decide between prom and hosting SNL and many would argue they made the right choice.

They joked about it in their opening monologue and even did a skit surrounding it.

16. Back in 2005, Mary-Kate was in a very public love triangle with Stavros Niarchos III and Paris Hilton.

She even spoke to W Magazine about it, saying,

"[Paris and I] always only had nice things to say about each other. Now I guess you can tell we're not talking."

17. They created a movement that was referred to as "dumpster chic"

Yup, this is true.

The movement was created from them wearing huge sunglasses, baggy clothes, and massive bags. Ashley Olsen even spoke to Marie Claire about the movement years ago.

"I think you're either born with a sense of style or you're not. Either you care or you don't. And we love fashion. When we were going to NYU, I think that was the first time we were aware of the power of our personal style."

"Not the power of it, but the result of it. Between the big sunglasses and the Starbucks cup and the big sweaters, the hobo-chic thing, we were more shocked than anything."

18. Mary-Kate was always into horseback riding.

"I was six when I first fell in love and it was with a pony named 4x4," Mary-Kate said in her HITS profile.

"Having horseback riding as an outlet was super important because it allowed me to have another life and outlet outside of work and school."

19. They don't have social media.

The only selfie they have together (for the internet to see anyway), is one they took when they got to take over Sephora's social media account.

But besides that, the sisters stay far away from social media.

20. Ashley helped Carey Mulligan out during her *Great Gatsby* audition.

"I couldn't believe what they did when I texted in a panic about having nothing to wear for my audition for Gatsby," Mulligan said to Vogue.

"I was hoping they'd send me some things from The Row, but then these huge boxes arrived—Ashley's entire collection of thirties vintage dresses."

21. Mary-Kate was called four times when Heath Ledger's body was found.

Olsen was on speed dial on Ledger's phone, and she was called even before the police.

To this day, she has declined to comment on the death of her friend, or their relationship, and has always asked that people respect her privacy.

22. They don't shop online.

They like going to the store and really looking at the clothes, feeling them out, and deciding in person whether or not the item will work for them or not.

Online shopping just doesn't do it for them.

23. They didn't want to appear on *Fuller House*.

This led to a lot of jokes about them in the series, and while everyone is still super respectful of the sisters, we can't help but wonder if there is some tension between them and the cast members.
