10+ Completely Random Facts About 'The Big Bang Theory' Cast Fans Didn't Know

There are only a few things that are getting us through the fact that The Big Bang Theory is still over: reruns, saying "Bazinga" under our breath 100 times a day, and eating copious amounts of take-out just like the characters.

Thankfully, there is also the cast to keep up with, starting with these 10+ completely random facts about them!

1. Since Jim Parsons' audition was so good, the creators thought that it was a fluke.

Chuck Lorre, producer and writer of the show, made him audition twice to ensure he was the real deal.

4. Kunal Nayyar was relatively unknown before the show.

While he was born in London, he actually grew up in New Delhi, India.

Later, he would move to the States to pursue education and acting. As you can see, it definitely worked out.

12. Simon Helberg almost turned down the role of Howard.

He told CinemaBlend that he was working on a show called Studio 60 when he got the call about The Big Bang Theory.

The only problem was, he was tired of playing nerds.

"Pretty soon I'll be a distinguished gray, and that's pretty hot. So I'll pass on the nerd show,'" he thought.

Thankfully, he changed his mind.

"And then I just got convinced to go in, and then I think I made the good choice."

15. It took hours to remove the blue Smurf makeup from Melissa Raunch.

They had to use hot towels to remove it.

Dear lord Jesus, that's my business!' I had totally exposed myself!"
