Walmart Employee Goes Viral On TikTok For Quitting Job With Explicit Rant

As unfortunate as this is, the reality in life is that most of us are going to find ourselves in at least one job that we hate doing. These jobs make us wake up with a whimper and often inspire fantasies of publicly quitting them in a supremely satisfying way.

In these scenarios we dream up, it's not just about telling everyone we're leaving our workplaces forever but also calling out everyone who made our experiences there miserable. After all, it's often not the job itself that's the problem.

But while those fantasies tend to dissipate when we're reminded of the needs that keep us at these jobs, it's clear that one now-former Walmart employee found herself in a position where she could indulge in them

Be advised that the full video contains strong language.

On October 30, a woman named Shana shared a TikTok video in which she addressed everyone at a Lubbock, Texas Walmart via the store's P.A. system.

And judging by the muttered rebuke of Walmart she makes before getting on the system, it's clear that she'll be getting a lot off her chest.

Indeed, she wastes no time laying into her managers and fellow employees, referring to one as a racist with poor hygiene and another as a racist who presumably smells better.

She then accuses the management of her store of firing Black associates for no reason.

This then presents an opportunity for Shana to segue into a claim that Walmart treats their employees badly in general, particularly in "cap two" where she worked.

She then identifies a cashier, a garden center employee, and an employee in the sporting goods department as being sexually inappropriate, saying, "I hope you don't talk to your daughters the way you talk to me."

However, she does have kind words for one employee named Ariel who helped her secure her position at Walmart when she needed it.

In a tweet following the release of the full video, Shana also thanks her husband for encouraging her to go back to school and pursue her dreams. She credits him for being a big part of why she felt secure enough to quit in this fashion.

As you can see in a different clip taken by a different employee, Shana's rant seemed to be a hit with her fellow associates who clearly found it hilarious.

But as you might expect, it wasn't a laughing matter for those at Walmart's corporate office.

As Walmart representative Anne Hatfield told Yahoo News Australia, "Walmart is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and we take every allegation very seriously. We have spoken with the person in the video and are actively looking into her claims.

"Walmart does not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any aspect of our business."

In the five days since she posted it, Shana's video has received 27 million views on TikTok and 630,000 on Twitter with a respective 6.9 million and 46.4 thousand likes.

Alongside what she said in the full video available here, Shana tweeted out an expression of her relief at quitting her "toxic job that was making [her] absolutely miserable for a year and seven months."

While it's unclear what she'll be hoping to pursue now, it's abundantly clear that whoever she finds herself working with in the future better not mess with her.
