10+ Celebrities Who Aren't Afraid To Get Controversial On Social Media

Drama has a way of following certain celebs.

No matter what they do — or how hard they try — they just can't seem to escape it (looking at you, Taylor Swift).

And then, there are the celebs on social media who openly welcome controversy. Some even crave it. This has led to some pretty wild social media posts.

1. Chrissy Teigen

She isn't called the clap back queen for nothing!

While there are so many instances of her getting controversial on social media, one particular incident stands out.

This was when she called a troll a "dreadful wench" for making fun of her infertility issues.

2. Kendall Jenner

Even though she knew it would be controversial, the model still threw a huge birthday party for herself this during the 2020 pandemic.

While Kendall told her guests not to post photos due to fear of backlash, some leaked anyways.

3. Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa has been marching to the beat of her own drum ever since she shed her Disney skin.

Sadly, this hasn't always worked out in her favor, like when she faced backlash for saying that coronavirus deaths are "terrible but inevitable."

4. Miley Cyrus

She's just being Miley.

Last year, the star went to extreme lengths to clear her name after rumors flew following her divorce to Liam Hemsworth. This meant going on a Twitter rant where she revealed... a lot.

First, she said that while she has cheated on partners in the past, she never cheated on Liam.

Then, things got really weird when she revealed that she got fired from Hotel Transylvania for licking a penis cake.

Um, no one asked Miley!

5. James Charles

The beauty mogul is no stranger to controversy.

Last year, he was pulled into major YouTube beef after fellow YouTuber, Tati Westbrook, claimed that James was a disloyal friend and used his fame to prey on straight men.

6. Bella Thorne

Her Instagram feed alone should make it clear that Bella isn't afraid to get controversial.

When her ex, Tana Mongeau, got engaged to YouTuber Jake Paul, Bella posted a picture of herself crying on social media.

7. Kylie Jenner

Controversy practically comes with being a Kardashian-Jenner.

For Halloween 2019, the reality star found herself at the center of backlash when she dressed up her daughter, Stormi, in a replica of her racy 2019 Met Gala gown.

People were upset since they said that the gown and purple wig wasn't appropriate for her then-20-month-old to wear.

At one point, things got so bad that Kylie was even accused of "child abuse." Yikes.

But people are always talking down to Kylie Jenner and her family.

8. Gigi Hadid

Whether she's defending herself against body-shamers or clapping back at trolls who come for her relationship, Gigi is never one to stay quiet.

This included the time she went after a troll who said she was "boy crazy."

"practice how to walk properly instead of having a new bf every 2 weeks (sic)," they wrote on a picture of Gigi and Zayn on Twitter.

Gigi's response was so epic, it caused the troll to delete their tweet.

She wrote: "I've dated 3 guys in 3 yrs, hun. My walk can always get better; I hope the unrelated bitterness in ur heart can too."

9. Sarah Hyland

If there is one thing you should know about the Modern Family star, it's this: she has no time for haters.

And sadly, between her kidney condition causing weight issues and her friendship with Ariel Winter, she has a lot of them.

One time, Sarah delivered a SEVEN-page clapback to a hater who shamed her for her naked selfie.

"KEEP YOUR SEXUAL LIFE PRIVATE," is what someone messaged her about this picture.

Sarah went off on Twitter, writing that "you can barely see any skin but it's ok for Instagram models to roll around in the sand ACTUALLY naked?"

10. Hailey Bieber

The model isn't afraid to stir up some controversy when it comes to her husband, Justin Bieber's ex, Selena Gomez.

Back when Selena released her song "Lose You to Love Me," Hailey posted a screenshot of the song "I'll Kill You" by Summer Walker...

11. Demi Lovato

This year's #DemiIsOverParty all stemmed from an alleged secret account Demi had where she bashed her ex-friend, Selena Gomez, on it.

In one of the posts, she had allegedly taken a pen to Selena's face on a magazine cover.

12. Evangeline Lilly

The Lost actress made fans feel super lost back in March when she posted that she'd dropped off her kids at gymnastics camp in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

She even called it "#businessasusual."

13. Selena Gomez

While Selena isn't one for drama, she will speak up when it's necessary to do so.

Like the time she had some choice words for Justin Bieber who was threatening to make his Instagram private after people went after his ex, Sofia Richie.

"If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only," Selena commented.

"Don't be mad at your fans. They love you and supposed you before any one ever did."

14. Kim Kardashian and Kayne West

And finally, we come to this drama-filled couple.

Early in 2020, they both made headlines after Kayne tweeted that wife Kim and her family was trying to "lock him up" following his shocking comments made at a political rally.
