There's something so enjoyable about seeing celebrities celebrate their families — they really are just like us after all! It's especially exciting when celebrities share moments that they usually keep private on special occasions like birthdays.
Sarah Jessica Parker just shared some unseen photos from her son's childhood in honor of his 18th birthday, and we're loving the look into their life!
Not only did she don the classic Sarah Sanderson costume for the Hocus Pocus reunion special with her fellow witches, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy, she also had a pretty big occasion to celebrate at home with her family.
Unlike Carrie Bradshaw, who would be all over Instagram, Sarah herself is usually pretty private about her life with her husband, Matthew Broderick, and their son, James.
In honor of James' 18th birthday, Sarah shared some unseen pictures from his childhood.
Their son, James, was born on October 28, 2002, and they have twins, two girls named Marion and Tabitha who were born on June 22, 2009.
That makes James 18 and the girls 11 this year.
“Well, you know, we’ve been trying to expand our family for a number of years and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so,” Sarah explained at the time. "This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us."
“Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t pretend otherwise,” Sarah responded. "It would be a complicated. It would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”
However she got there, Sarah has loved motherhood completely, which is clear in her Instagram post for her son's birthday.
"On this day, you are 18 years old. I marvel at the passing of those years but equally the young man you are becoming. My love for you is an ache and an honor," the proud mama wrote.
"As you leap toward and into your future, I remain your privileged and steadfast confident and joyful witness to the year ahead. Happy birthday my first time voter," Sarah continued her sweet birthday tribute.
What adorable photos! And what a sweet way to celebrate James' birthday — although he might be a little embarrassed by it now at 18, we're sure he'll treasure it in the years to come!
Andy Cohen wrote, "Cannot believe he is 18! He is an incredible young man."

"As you will soon see, parenting adult children is so wonderful," they continued.
