10+ Celebrities Who Have Been Unfairly Judged Because Of Their Body Size

Being a celebrity isn't all praise and private jets.

It comes with a lot of unpleasant things, like having millions of keyboard warriors unleash mean things.

Most of the time, these trolls go personal by attacking celebrities for being too skinny or too big.

Here are 10+ celebrities who have been unfairly judged because of their size.

1. Ashley Graham

In the early days of her modeling career, the body-positive champion faced agencies telling her that she had to lose weight.

One particular experience left a bitter taste in the model's mouth. “I had one that waved money in my face," she told People.

"And said, ‘If you lose more “lb’s” – pounds – you can make a lot more of this,’ and he was waving $20 bills in my face," she told.

This makes us angry for her.

As we all know, Graham sure showed him by making a profitable career out of loving herself.

2. Khloé Kardashian

It's hard enough having to deal with body-shaming from strangers on the internet without having to receive it from your own family.

But that was the case with the reality star who was told that her weight was "hurting" the Kardashian brand.

3. Selena Gomez

It's hard to imagine anyone picking on the ever-gorgeous Selena, but this happened when she started gaining weight from her lupus medication.

Soon, the body-shamers were out full-force when she vacationed in 2018.

"Is this really selena?? She looks fat and her nose looks weird," one wrote on a bikini photo of the star on Twitter.

Shortly after the images went viral, Selena appeared to comment indirectly on the backlash on Instagram by criticizing the world's warped views on beauty.

4. Henry Cavill

It's not just females that are held to unfair body standards.

Even the Superman actor was called "chubby" during an audition for Casino Royale. At the time, he had to exit a bathroom in nothing but a towel.

“I remember the director, Martin Campbell, saying, ‘Looking a little chubby there, Henry,'” Cavill told Men's Health.

In the end, though, he was actually grateful for the feedback.

“I didn’t know how to train or diet. And I’m glad Martin said something, because I respond well to truth. It helps me get better."

5. Kylie Jenner

After having her daughter, Stormi, the reality star had a tough time adjusting to her new body.

“I feel like my hips have just spread… like, my favourite jeans, they’re never going to fit me again. Nothing in my closet fits me,” she said to sister Kim during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

So it didn't help matters when one troll commented on an old picture of the star.

“Wow she’s so skinny here,” someone wrote. “She was better," another added.

After seeing the comments, Kylie shut the trolls down with one epic sentence: “I birthed a baby."

6. Jason Momoa

The internet had a full-on panic when the Aquaman actor sported a "dad bod" while on vacation with his family in 2019.

Soon, all sorts of mean comments came in. "Someone needs to start lifting again..." one wrote.

People forgot to realize that it's body and he can look however he wants, abs or no abs.

Thankfully, instead of getting hurt by the comments, he laughed the whole thing off to TMZ.

To make his point in a way that made us all love him even more, he patted his stomach.

7. Amber Tamblyn

When the star was 21, she had the world at her feet. She had just finished Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and her star power was on the rise.

But everything came crashing down when her agent told her she had to lose weight.

She told *New York Times* reporter Jodi Kantor in 2018:

"I think at that point I was 128 pounds and I’m 5'7". I remember my agent saying to me — and she was a woman — ‘You have a real choice here. You can either be Nicole Kidman or you can be a character actress.'”

8. Jennifer Lopez

The star is envied for her voluptuous curves, but during the early days of her career, she was told to lose weight.

When this happened, she had the perfect response: she fired the agent who gave her the "advice."

9. Karlie Kloss

If you thought that supermodels were immune from body shaming, think again.

In an interview with The New York Post, she revealed that she was called "both too fat and too thin by a casting agent on the same day."

10. Ashley Benson

If you're wondering why you haven't seen the Pretty Little Liars actress in many things lately, it could be because she was told she's "too fat" for certain roles.

Thankfully, Benson doesn't let it bother her too much. She told Health magazine that she much rather be healthy than too skinny.

11. Jennifer Lawrence

The actress wasn't just unfairly judged for her weight — she was threatened with it.

"Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn't lose a certain amount of weight," she admitted to Harper's Bazaar U.K.

12. Kelly Clarkson

The Voice judge may be a body-positive advocate, but that's not to say that bod-shaming comments don't get to her from time to time.

Shortly after giving birth to her daughter, Clarke, British journalist Katie Hopkins unleashed some really mean tweets about Kelly.

"Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers?" she tweeted.

So rude.

In an interview with Heat magazine, Clarkson handled the comments with grace by saying that she has never cared about what other people think.
