Reese Witherspoon 'Wouldn't Say Never' To Running For Senator: 'Our Standards Have Become Very Low'

Reese Witherspoon is truly a goddess in every way. She is timeless, ageless even. She is an incredible actress. She's a business owner. She is an awesome mom. And perhaps, one day, she could be a SENATOR???

Does this surprise me? Absolutely not. Reese is Elle Woods, after all. Legally Blonde?! Ever heard of her?!

Reese Witherspoon is truly one of the most iconic women in Hollywood.

Her versatility!

Now, Reese is letting fans know she isn't saying no to any opportunity, even if that means running for SENATOR!

That's right, everyone! Ms. Witherspoon could soon be Senator Witherspoon!

While chatting on the "Smartless" podcast, Reese was asked about her political aspirations.

"I think you’d get a lot of the vote," co-host Jason Bateman told her, reports Vanity Fair.

"Yeah, I mean our standards have become very low in this country," Reese joked.

After being told that she could become a senator, the 44-year-old replied, "I wouldn’t say never, because I don’t know where I’m going to be when I’m, you know, 65."

She continued: "I think we need better representation and balance. Women are 50 per cent of the population, but we’re not 50 per cent of the representation in government, which is bizarre, particularly when they’re adjudicating over our bodies."

"And the lack of representation of people of colour, who make up a large, almost majority of this country,” Reese added.

"What about balance, you know? Just yin and yang. Male, female balance."
