Kim Kardashian Slammed For 'Spoiled, Tone-Deaf' Party On A Private Island During Pandemic

Kim recently celebrated her 40th birthday and shared photos to her Instagram.

"40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter," she wrote.

"Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment," she continued.

"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time."

"I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is," Kim wrote.

Immediately, many fans took issue with Kim seemingly flaunting her wealth and privilege during such a difficult time for so many.

Fans called sharing the pictures "tone deaf."

"I find it difficult to believe that anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence wouldn’t find this entire thread repulsive. Completely tone deaf. A real Marie Antoinette 'let them eat cake' moment . Disgusting," one person tweeted.

Some fans pointed out the staff at the party were masked.

"This thread is so repulsive it makes me want to vomit. Not that we needed confirmation but what a spoiled, tone-deaf imbecile." Piers Morgan tweeted.
