Katey Sagal Isn't Leaving 'The Conners': 'Do Not Hire A New Girlfriend For Dan'

While it's always good news to see actors and actresses we love get new, exciting work, sometimes that good news can have hidden consequences, like those actors we love leaving shows we love them on already to have time to film.

Luckily that doesn't seem to be the case for Katey Sagal on The Conners!

*The Conners* has had a bit of a turbulent history.

The show began as a spin-off of the reboot of popular sitcom Roseanne after show star Roseanne Barr was fired.

The Conner family proved they were still going strong after Roseanne the character was killed off for the creation of the spin-off.

Dan Conner, played by John Goodman, has recently found love again.

Actress Katey Sagal, best known for Married With Children and Sons Of Anarchy, has taken up the role of Louise, Dan's new girlfriend, on The Conners.

Katey has also recently signed on to star in Rebel, a TV series inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich.

Some fans were worried that Katey starring on a new show would mean her departure from *The Conners*, but that isn't the case.

“The first thing that Katey did [after ‘Rebel’ was picked up] was send us an email saying, ‘Do not hire a new girlfriend for Dan — I am not abdicating my role,’” The Conners showrunner Bruce Helford revealed to TVLine.

"It’s going to be tough for her because she’s going to be doing double production."

“But we’ll work on Saturdays [if we need to]. We intend for Louise to be around all season.”

We're excited to hear this good news for Katey and excellent news for fans of The Conners!
