Fans Are Angry After Chris Pratt Makes 'Insensitive' Joke About Voting

There's no denying that the word "VOTE" is on everyone's lips these days. Perhaps it's because there's a HUGE upcoming Presidential election that will undoubtedly shape the fate of modern American society as we know it?!

Well, it seems Chris Pratt is about done with the shenanigans and is OVER CELEBRITIES TELLING PEOPLE THEY SHOULD VOTE!

It may seem very "Hollywood" for celebs to remind their fellow Americans to vote but that's kinda the whole point! This is America, sweetie.

Celebrities are encouraged to use their platform to spread messages to the people, it's what this country was BUILT ON!

So right now, it's alllllllllll about the upcoming Presidential vote, baby!

However, it's clear that Chris Pratt is OVER talking about voting in the 2020 election and instead wants you to focus voting for his movie, *Onward* for the 2020 People's Choice Award!

Naturally, this approach didn't really sit well with many of Chris' fans.

Taking to Instagram to promote his film, *Onward* Chris wrote: "With all that’s going on in the world it is more important than ever that you vote. Just ask any celebrity."

"They will tell you. Every day. Several times a day. To vote. But me? I will tell you EXACTLY who to vote for. #onward The heroes before us did not spill their blood only to have their sacrifices wasted by your apathy."

He continued: " The upcoming 2020 People’s Choice Awards is the most consequential vote in the history of mankind times a million infinity. Vote for #Onward for family movie of the year. Or else. You WILL die. No hyperbole."

"Click the link in my bio. Let your voice be heard," he concluded.

While some found the joke funny, others weren't impressed.

"Chris what the [expletive] this ain’t it," wrote @mia.potato.

"Haha what the [expletive]. This is super insensitive. Read the room. Oh wait you did and decided to mock people. Coooooooollllllll," echoed @caitlincade.

Instagram user @mickchasels commented: "YIKES. Imagine the amount of privilege one person can have to write this tone deaf post."

It's clear Chris' joke didn't hit the mark for many people.
