Bette Midler Says She 'Can't Wait To Fly' Again In 'Hocus Pocus' Sequel

Halloween might be the only good thing we've got going for us in 2020, and that's in no small part due to the fact that nobody can take away our ability to watch our favorite spooky movies while cuddled up with an apple cider (or pumpkin spice latte, take your pick). One of those movies is definitely Hocus Pocus, and with a sequel in the works, we've got more good news than we know what to do with!

*Hocus Pocus* is a Halloween classic.

Following a trio of delightfully evil witches called the Sanderson Sisters (played brilliantly by Bette Midley, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker) and the plucky youths trying to save their town from them, the movie is the perfect mix of funny and seasonally appropriate!

The sequel, *Hocus Pocus 2*, has recently moved into the pre-production phase.

Director Adam Shankman revealed that he would be helming the project in an Instagram post where he showed the first pages of the scripts of the sequels to both Hocus Pocus and Enchanted.

Bette Midler was recently asked if she would be returning in the sequel.

In a move that will make fans very happy, Bette revealed that she is "absolutely" down to reprise her role.

"I can't wait to fly!" Bette added, which to me definitely feels like a pretty good sign that she's in — this makes sense, since all three Sandersons have expressed interest in the past.

"We're just talking logistics," Bette added about the sequel.

I don't know about you, but I'm excited!

I've been waiting for years for all these rumors about a Hocus Pocus sequel to finally come to fruition, and it looks like it really is this time!

Are you excited? Let us know in the comments!
