Noah Cyrus Faces Backlash For Partying After Telling Her Followers To Wear Masks

While it's definitely a good thing when celebrities use their influence to support the usage of masks and face coverings in public, it can also lead to some backlash if the celebrity in question doesn't appear to be following their own advice. This happened to Noah Cyrus recently.

Musician Noah Cyrus recently shared a post on Instagram with good intentions.

"Just wear the damn masks," Noah wrote alongside a series of photographs of herself in a face mask.

However, less than eight hours later, Noah shared a photo of herself without a mask at a party, which some fans found very hypocritical.

Fans were not pleased.

In the shot, Noah is clearly seen not wearing a mask in the same outfit as her original picture in a crowded party scene. In other photographs from the party, other influencers alongside Noah like Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul were also seen without masks.

"Tells us to wear masks, then goes to a house party with no mask," wrote on fan on Instagram.

"Love you, but posting this and then attending a crowded house party full of people is counter productive," another fan added. "Ive seen you not wearing a mask around mates in loads videos. I'm starting to think influencers are just told to tell people to wear them," read another comment.

One fan noted, "wearing a mask for a photo then taking it off to party doesn’t do any good."

Noah has not yet responded to the backlash at time of writing.
