Woman Creates Mind-Bending Optical Illusions Using Only Makeup

Over the last decade or so, it seems like makeup has really emerged as a true art form. With so many creative people creating super creative looks, how do you stand out?

Well, makeup artist worked her butt off to figure that one out. She creates optical illusions on her own face, and they are truly mind-blowing.

Meet RJ!

This is the last time you'll see her in natural makeup, so let's just take a moment to praise her normal makeup skills before we dive into stanning her creative ones!

Holy. Crap.

It is insane that her "inverted" face is actually makeup, because the blending truly makes it look like Photoshop. She even made her lashes white to match the look!

She totally nailed this cartoon look.

This is some Betty Boop inspired-realness right here! I love the addition of the paint brush, it really helps finish off the look's story. Now, how did she make her eyelids blend in like that?

WHERE is her nose?!

I think it might be in Rachel's neck, but I definitely can't tell for sure. I can't believe how she turned her face into an actual canvas! Give this woman awards.

Oh, and in case you're wondering...

That look is 100% real. You can see her create it in this video! She added each character separately and tailored the whole look to look perfect from a certain angle.

This look is genuinely scary.

I can't get over how she creates a single, cohesive tone across her face and then adds back in realistic shadows where she needs them. It's way more than just foundation and eyeshadow.

She stitched her face onto her face.

What the HECK? She totally perfectly recreated her own face on her cheek! I love that she also added an eye onto her other cheek, it totally "ties" the look together.

Okay, find Waldo!

I found him! I can't believe she created an entire game on her face. Her talent is totally unmatched. I've never seen anyone with this level of skill before.

How about the time she turned into Oprah?

Oh, y'all wanted an optical illusion? Here's some straight-up magic. The blending is on point, but the true highlight for me is the perfect wig work. Add the glasses in, and boom — Oprah.

Everything is cake.

You're cake. I'm cake. RJ is DEFINITELY cake. Y'all, the way I legit have had a hard time finding her hidden facial features is real. Her eye totally disappears into the cake!

This is absolutely incredible.

This is art. There's no other word for it. This is true, modern art, and I need to see her work featured in art galleries ASAP.
