I can admit it: I'm a terrible cook.

Well, maybe "terrible" is too strong of a word, but I'm certainly not very good at it. And it's not for lack of trying, either. I'm constantly finding new recipes online, and constantly ending up having to just order a pizza instead.

But I should still get some points for even attempting them at all.

What bothers me is that my mom happens to be an amazing cook, yet somehow I missed out on getting those genes.

And bless her heart, because she was always super patient with me, even as I messed up nearly every task she gave me.
