A teen was recently recording herself singing in preparation for an upcoming audition when she was treated to a rather shocking surprise — her mother's leg crashing through the ceiling of her bedroom.
As Business Insider reported, 18-year-old Liz San Millen's video of her mom's hilarious interruption has quickly gone viral on TikTok, but the teen wants to assure everyone that her mother is fine, and is enjoying her newfound viral fame.
That audition will determine her placement in classes at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, so she made sure to practice as much as possible while still living at her parents' house.
Which wouldn't have been so crazy, if it weren't for the fact that she used the ceiling rather than the door.
"You can kind of see the irritation in my face because I told my mom I was filming and I could hear her banging around up there looking for stuff," the teen recalled to Insider.
Apparently, her mom was one floor above her daughter in the attic, searching for luggage for the upcoming move to New York. But not for long.
Startled, the teen spins around to asses the cause of the noise and is treated to the sight of her mom's leg hanging through the broken plaster.
"Oh my God!" Liz exclaims right before the video ends.
However, despite her cautious steps she managed to trip over her own flip flop, causing her leg to effectively punch-through the floor below.
Which also happened to be Liz's ceiling, hence the bizarre interruption.
"Life footage of my mom telling me to break a leg," Liz captioned the hilarious clip.
Many users expressed genuine shock at the surprise ending of the video, with others pointing out their concern for Liz's mom, given the fact that she made zero noise upon falling through her daughter's ceiling.
"What a woman," the teen said in the clip. "Didn't even get a bruise."
She added that while the response to the video has been "awesome", it was certainly something she never expected to have happen, and admitted her mom's unconventional entrance "scared the crap out of [her]".
"My mom's been going on my TikTok and replying to some of the comments," she revealed.
Oh, and her bedroom ceiling? Still broken, but she says her dad is "working on it."
