Channel Your Inner Laura Ingalls Wilder And Camp In A Luxury Conestoga Wagon

This year has been a bear, amirite? Sometimes I wish I could be transported back to a simpler time when a wagon and a fire were considered luxuries.

Well, now I can at a number of new campsites and resorts across the country that allow you to live like a pioneer in your own Conestoga wagon. Except these ones aren't quite as rudimentary as the ones of yore. Yes, I'm talking glamping.

It's like the book says: Home is the nicest word there is.

If you live on the East Coast, a camping trip to Roscoe Campsite Park is a must. Located within the beautiful mountains of the Catskills, this fancy campsite is super comfy and the chic wagons are to die for.

This is more glamorous than Laura Ingalls' prairie life, for sure.

Welcome to big prairie country.

If you're looking for a classic prairie adventure updated to 21st century standards, Zion Wildflower Resort is the place.

Located in Zion National Park, this campsite has everything from luxury bathhouses and free on-site bikes to tricked out wagons. It's the perfect spot for a little vacay with the girls.

Hike caves by day and snuggle up to luxury at night.

Horse Cave KOA is a Kentucky campsite located in one of the most iconic cave regions in the world. Explore Mammoth Cave by day and then snuggle up in a chic four-person wagon complete with luxury linens.

Move over Sleepy Hollow, it's all about Smokey Hollow now.

The Conestoga wagons at Smokey Hollow Campground in Wisconsin are a bit more rustic but stylish nonetheless. These vintage beauties sleep up to five guests and include modern amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, and more. Step out to a large deck, picnic table, and charcoal grill, too.

Seriously, this is the closest you'll want to get to 'roughing it.'
