Twitter Thinks Adele Joked About Cultural Appropriation Claims After Posting Controversial Instagram Pic

Now look, I love Adele. Who doesn't love Adele? She is smart and talented and was unproblematic — until now!!!

Adele has literally never come under fire for a decision she's made until she posted a very controversial Instagram pic in honor of the canceled Notting Hill Carnival.

Needless to say, the fans were shocked and confused and the jokes just kept rolling in.

Now, a tweet is circulating around Twitter that claims Adele used Jamaican slang in a recent Instagram Live. But is it real? Let's take a closer look, shall we!

Adele is best known for writing and performing amazing music that fans cannot get enough of.

Where would modern music be without the creative brilliance that was "Rolling in the Deep" or "Hello"?? I don't even want to think about it, TBH!

Adele is also known for being super unproblematic and kind to everyone!

So when Adele was making headlines earlier this week for her controversial Notting Hill Carnival throwback pic, it was super uncharacteristic!

In the pic, the 32-year-old is seen sporting a Jamaican flag bikini top and Bantu knots in her hair.

For those who don't know, the Notting Hill Carnival is an annual celebration of Caribbean culture and interracial tolerance.

The first Notting Hill Carnival took place in 1966 and has been a cultural institution ever since.

Adele's picture received *very mixed* reactions on social media.

Some people thought Adele's look was promoting cultural appropriation, while others felt it was a form of flattery and respect.

Now, an alleged Instagram comment from Adele is going viral on Twitter.

While watching Brandy and Monica's Versuz Instagram Live, Adele seemingly commented Jamaican slang in the chat.

"Wah Gwaan! Yow gyal, yuh look good enuh!" the comment read.

This was would VERY ballsy of her to say if it was the real Adele.

However, many fans aren't convinced it's a real comment.

I must say it is excellent photoshop work but please let the record show it is most likely FAKE!

Adele has yet to comment on the backlash of the controversial pic.
