ABC Just Delayed A Bunch Of Major Shows From Premiering This Fall

Summer ending is always tough, but one of the few things that makes the transition into fall easier is that we get new episodes of our favorite shows.

This year, with the pandemic putting a halt to a lot of filming schedules, that is not exactly what's going to happen this year.

There are few things more reliable in this world than television.

That's why the fact that the pandemic has thrown such a wrench into the usual television schedules and premieres that we expect to see every fall feels so wild, even though we all pretty much knew this would be coming.

ABC has just announced a new schedule with many of the network's major shows delayed.

Due to the pandemic, most of the network's scripted shows just aren't ready to air in the fall, This includes Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, The Conners, black-ish, and American Housewife are all temporarily benched.

Other shows like *American Idol, The Bachelor, mixed-ish* and more were pushed back for midseason premieres.

But this doesn't mean there'll be nothing to watch — ABC is filling the timeslots with its unscripted programs, like The Bachelorette, Shark Tank, America's Funniest Home Videos, Who Wants To be A Millionaire, and the newest reboot of Supermarket Sweep hosted by Leslie Jones.

Were some of your favorite shows effected?

I can't believe I have to wait even longer for new Grey's Anatomy episodes, but it does make sense and of course the safety and health of the staff of these shows is more important!
