While celebrities and fancy champagne seem like they go hand-in-hand, there are plenty of big names in Hollywood that steer clear of booze entirely for health reasons and otherwise!
Brad Pitt.
Following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, Brad explained in an interview with The New York Times , that he realized his drinking had gotten out of control.

“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges,” he said .
He explained that his recovery group was made up entirely of men, and he was impressed by their ability to allow themselves to be in such a vulnerable position.
“You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard,” he said. “It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself.”
Zac Efron.
You may be surprised to find out that every millennial girl’s teenage crush, High School Musical star, Zac Efron, spent some time in rehab in 2013 after his alcohol and drug addiction got out of hand.
He seems to be doing much better now.
In an interview with ELLE , when asked how sobriety has changed his life, Zac simply responded by saying: “You get out of life what you put in.”
Anne Hathaway.
“I quit drinking back in October,” Anne told Vanity Fair in January 2019.
She explained that she was dropping her son off at school one morning, hungover, and thought “that was enough.”
Although it seems she may pick it back up once her children are grown.
“I’m going to stop drinking while my son is in my house just because I don’t totally love the way I do it, and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings,” she said.
Demi Lovato.
In March 2018 she celebrated six years of sobriety. But just a few months after that she was hospitalized for a drug overdose. Thankfully, Demi is back on track.
She’s doing much better now.
“Grateful that AA/NA never shuts the door on you no matter how many times you have to start your time over. I didn’t lose 6 years; I’ll always have that experience but now I just get to add to that time with a new journey and time count,” she wrote on Instagram .
Shania Twain.
Shania revealed in her biography that she stays away from alcohol and people that abuse alcohol for health reasons.
“I like a clean band. I don’t like drugs. I don’t like alcohol,” she said. “I like to have clean-living people around me,” she wrote .
Dax Sheppard.
14 years ago, Dax made a commitment to sobriety and he says the trick to staying sober is:
“You’ve got to acknowledge you are an addict every day, first thing, right when you wake up”.
Bradley Cooper.
In an interview for his GQ cover in 2013, Bradley revealed that when he was 29 he could tell that when it came to booze, he was on a slippery slope.
As a result, he decided to cut himself off.
“If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life,” he said .
Tyra Banks.
“I feel like I’ve been very lucky because I don’t really have an addictive personality. I’ve never had any drugs, and I had a little taste of alcohol when I was 12 years old, but that’s about it,” Tyra told her fans, according to Forbes .
Jada Pinkett Smith.
Back in 2010, Jada listed off 25 things that fans may not know about her — one of those things being that she hasn’t had a drop of alcohol since the early ’90s.
“I haven’t consumed alcohol in 13-plus years,” she said .
Lana Del Ray.
In an interview with GQ in 2012, Lana explained that she developed a drinking problem at a very young age.
“I was a big drinker at the time. I would drink every day. I would drink alone. I thought the whole concept was so [expletive] cool,” she said.
“I knew it was a problem when I liked it more than I liked doing anything else,” she said.
“That’s really why I got sent to boarding school aged 14 – to get sober,” she revealed .
“It’s been nine years since my last drink.”
Naomi Campbell.
“I used to have a lot of problems. Amongst others I drank too much so I joined Alcoholics Anonymous to get and stay sober,” she told Vogue .
But those days are over.

Russell Brand.
Russel has always been transparent with fans about his vices and his pledge to sobriety.
He has been sober for over 15 years now and has even written a book to help others overcome addiction, themselves.
Joe Manganiello.
Joe revealed in an interview with Huffington Post in 2013 his decision to get sober.
“There was a period of about four years where I needed to quit drinking,” he said. “I was homeless, careless and broke with no career, so yes, it was worth it [to get sober].”
James Franco.
Despite his frequent “stoner” role in films, James Franco is nothing like that IRL.
In an interview with Howard Stern , he revealed that he has been sober since high school. “there’s just no need,” he said regarding alcohol and drugs.
Blake Lively.
Blake revealed in her cover story for Allure in 2012 that she doesn’t drink whatsoever, and has managed to stay away from drugs her entire life.
It’s just not her cup of tea.
“It’s just something that I genuinely don’t have a desire for,” she said.
