Let me just start this by saying there is a tray of beautiful, golden, cheesy pizza inside my fridge right now that I swear I can actually hear calling my name.

Why yes, I am hungry. And yes, I did just eat a sprinkled donut 15 minutes ago. Odds are I'm going to have another one while I wait for my pizza to heat up.

Let's not act like we're surprised, okay?

I used to try and restrict myself from eating tasty foods because I was convinced they were too "bad" for me.

But the key is moderation, guys. Don't eat an entire pizza by yourself, even though you're like, 99.9% sure you totally could.

Have a few slices and stick the rest in your fridge so it can start calling your name while you're trying to work and make you physically salivate at the thought of finally being able to go grab it.

I've found that the best thing that works for me is to follow a 70/30 rule.

What this means is that for 70% of the week, I do my best to eat pretty healthy. I skip the fries and munch on salad, I choose spaghetti squash over spaghetti noodles, I drink water with my meals instead of soda.

But for the other 30% of the week, it's all about the good stuff.

And at the top of that list is usually some dish that spotlights the hero of this story: *cheese*.
