The world was saddened to learn of the passing of legendary television host and icon Regis Philbin, who passed away on July 25th at the age of 88 years old from natural causes.
Many fans have expressed a desire to show their love and grief for Regis’ passing, and his family have now communicated a way that this can be achieved.

Perhaps best known for hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Live! With Regis And Kelly , Regis was a broadcasting icon for over 60 years before he passed away, which was confirmed by his family in a statement .
“We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Regis Philbin passed away last night of natural causes, one month shy of his 89th birthday,” the statement read.
“His family and friends are forever grateful for the time we got to spend with him – for his warmth, his legendary sense of humor, and his singular ability to make every day into something worth talking about,” they wrote.
“We thank his fans and admirers for their incredible support over his 60-year career and ask for privacy as we mourn his loss.”
Many fans felt a need to express how much Regis and his life and career meant to them, and his family have now released another statement on how that can be achieved.
In an appropriate move, the family asks those who wish to honor Regis to make a donation to a food bank in New York.
“Regis’ family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love we’ve received. If you’d like to honor Regis’ memory, we kindly ask that you make a donation to http://foodbanknyc.org/ , to help people in need in his beloved New York, especially his home borough of The Bronx. Thank you,” they wrote.
