Jude Law In Talks To Play Captain Hook In The Live-Action 'Peter Pan'

The world seems pretty split on how it feels about live-action remakes of classic Disney cartoons. While some people seem pretty sick of it, these movies do incredibly well at the box office, and can often offer some fresh new life breathed into these classic stories.

Peter Pan is the next Disney property to get this treatment, and they're leaning towards some interesting casting choices!

One of the most iconic parts of _Peter Pan_ is the villain, Captain Hook.

Disney

Captain Hook is the perfect combination of sinister, flamboyant, and dramatic that every Disney villain needs, on top of his pretty signature style of a big mustache, long hair, and a shiny golden hook for a hand. Whoever plays this villain will need to have a flair for the dramatic!

Apparently, Disney may have found their Captain Hook.

Variety reports that Jude Law is in talks to play the iconic villain in the live action Peter Pan & Wendy, which already has Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson cast in the two titular roles.

I'm honestly here for it!

Reactions from fans have been mixed.

While some fans are not particularly eager for another version of Peter Pan, a lot of them do think the casting of Jude Law could be an interesting and smart move for the film, and I definitely agree with that. Have you seen The Young Pope?

It seems like most fans are on board to see how this one goes.
