A 'Hocus Pocus' Board Game Is Coming To Get Us In The Spooky Spirit

Disney's Hocus Pocus will always be a classic Halloween film. Yes, almost 30 years (!!!!!) later, the film is just as formative as ever. As a 28-year-old grown adult, I can confidently say this is still one of my all-time favorite movies for spooky season.

If you ever wanted to feel part of the magic of the film, now's your chance thanks to a new Hocus Pocus board game.

We're in thick of summer, but there's a big reason to get excited about fall.

Game company Ravensburger is releasing a Hocus Pocus board game, which seems to be the first one ever created.

I know. Wild.

"Players work together to protect Salem’s children and stop the Sanderson sisters from completing their wicked potion before the sun rises," the description reads.

Basically, you and your friends get to pretend you're Max, Allison, and Dani.

Of course, the Sanderson Sisters Winifred, Mary, and Sarah cast spells, while you're able to mix potions in the cauldron, interact with Binx and Billy Butcherson to help, and use an array of tricks like Burning Rain of Death to stop the Sanderson Sisters.

Players will also see a bunch of references to the movie, which will absolutely cast its own nostalgic spell on fans of the film.

The game comes in a box that looks like the Spellbook and is filled with one cauldron board, 50 Ingredient cards, a Witch board, 13 Spell cards, a Sun token, four trick tokens, a rulebook, and one black cat Binx meeple.

The game is available for pre-order and will be released July 26, plenty of time to get in the spooky spirit!

You can order it from Amazon for $20.

We'll definitely be watching Hocus Pocus while playing this for the ultimate game night!
