Sharon Stone Talks 'Really Intense' Experience Of Being Struck By Lightning

When you think of being struck by lightning, you probably imagine it happening outside during a thunderstorm, right?

Either way, it's a very unlikely thing to happen. There is a long list of things that are far more likely to happen before being struck by lightning, at any rate.

But in a recent interview on Brett Goldstein’s Films to Be Buried With podcast, Sharon Stone revealed that she had a "really intense" experience being struck by lighting inside of her home.

For those of you that aren't familiar with Sharon Stone, she is probably one of the most successful actresses of all time.

The 62-year-old is best known for many of the roles she took on back in the '90s!

Films like, *Casino, Basic Insinct, Silver, and The Quick and the Dead* — just to name a few!

But since then, she has not stopped working. She has been in countless movies and TV shows, as recent as this year.

Anyhow, she was recently interviewed on Brett Goldstein’s *Films to Be Buried With* podcast, where she candidly revealed that she was once struck by lightning inside of her own home.

Which, when you think about it, is really unlikely and unfortunate event.

She began by explaining how quarantine-life has been going for her so far.

"You know, I've never gotten to spend this much time with my teenage sons. So, I'm really happy I — you know, they don't get to really complain about hanging out with me," she said, laughing.

"So, its awesome!," she added.

"You know, I give them all the time they want on their computers and in exchange, we have dinner together every day."

That's not a bad deal, tbh! Unlimited computer time plus dinner with Sharon Stone every evening. Not a bad trade-off, I gotta say!

"They have their chores and I have mine, and we do them relatively without complaint."

"And it's good! You know, it's actually fun, and we're doing things together that we enjoy and we feel so blessed," she went on.

"I mean, my kids get it that we're lucky — that we have our own roof over our head and food to eat and that we're well".

"So far, everything's okay. We're really grateful. You know, we have to talk about it before we eat. We sit down at the table and we either say a prayer or we talk about it or we have some moments of gratitude," she explained.

Anyways, speaking of being inside the house — a place where one is usually safe — Sharon revealed that she had a "very intense" experience being struck by lightning.

It sounds like an absolutely terrifying thing to happen to someone!

“I had one hand on the faucet, one hand on the iron," she recalled.

"And the well got hit with lightning and the lighting came up through the water."

THROUGH THE WATER — I. Am. Shook. That's insanity at its finest.

She revealed that the force of the lightning actually sent her flying accross the room!

“I got picked up and thrown across the kitchen, and I hit the refrigerator,” she said. “I was like, ‘Whoa!’”

That is so crazy, wow.

Being thrown against the fridge ended up leaving her completely unconcious, she recalled.

“My mother was standing there, and my mother just belted me across the face and brought me to."

Thank goodness her mama was around, otherwise, it would have been a lot worse!

"I was in such an altered state,” she added. "It was really intense."

"Just so — I don't know how to describe it," she went on, explaining that her mom drove her to the hospital afterward.

Poor girl, that sounds tramuatizing.

"She threw me in the car and drove me to the hospital," Sharon explained.

"The EKG was just showing such electricity in my body. I had to go [inaudible] for like, 10 days. It was so crazy. It was like 'ZZZZ,'" she said, mimicking the sound of electricity.

She admitted afterward that she has actually had more than one near-death experience, this instance was just a drop in the bucket.

I'm glad that she lived to tell the tale because this story is absolutely insane — one for the books, no doubt!
