Billie Eilish Opens Up About Body Image Struggles: 'I Have Never Felt Desired'

Musician Billie Eilish is as famous for her unique oversized style as she is for her incredible record-breaking music, and while she has always been open about why she chooses to dress the way she does, in a new interview with GQ Billie has opened up like never before about her relationship with her body and how it effets her life.

In a new interview with GQ, Billie addressed her unique style of oversized clothing and explained why she gravitates towards it.

“Here’s a bomb for you: I have never felt desired. My past boyfriends never made me feel desired. None of them. It's a big thing in my life that I feel I have never been physically desired by somebody," Billie said.

Billie explained she doesn't want anyone to be able to judge her.

"So I dress the way I dress as I don't like to think of you guys — I mean anyone, everyone — judging [my body] or the size of it," she continued, echoing a similar sentiment she has stated before.

“That doesn’t mean that I won’t wake up one day and decide to wear a tank top, which I have done before,” Billie noted.

“Sometimes I dress like a boy. Sometimes I dress like a swaggy girl. And sometimes I feel trapped by this persona that I have created because sometimes I think people view me not as a woman," Billie revealed.

Billie addressed the tour video she created of herself slowly removing layers of clothing.

"That tour video was about all that. It is me saying: look, there is a body underneath these clothes and you don’t get to see it. Isn’t that a shame? But my body is mine and yours is yours," Billie explained.

“I have never felt powerful in a relationship," Billie continued.

"I did once and, guess what, I took advantage of that person’s kindness. I wasn’t used to it. It’s been months and I am not attracted to people anymore. I don’t know what’s going on. It's actually kind of dope."

It's amazing to see a young celebrity be so open and honest about their struggles, especially when their young fans may be going through similar ones!
