Sarah Jessica Parker Says She's Said 'Yes' To A 'Hocus Pocus' Sequel

In a world full of sequels, remakes, reboots, one thing haunts me every year around Halloween time: WHY haven't we gotten a new Hocus Pocus movie yet? With the same cast, please! There's no more iconic trio of witches than the Sanderson sisters, and we need to see them back on our screens!

Sarah Jessica Parker has just renewed our hope!

*Hocus Pocus* is a Halloween classic.

Not least because of its trio of witches, the Sanderson Sisters, Sarah, Mary, and Winifred, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler respectively, who are delightfully evil and evilly delightful in equal measures. Despite constant back-and-forths on whether a sequel is happening, nothing concrete has come to fruition yet.

SJP was asked “Do you think there would be a sequel to Hocus Pocus? Because it seems to be on peoples’ radar," on *Watch What Happens Live* and her answer was very exciting.

“I think that it’s something that, um, Bette and Kathy and I are all all very hospitable to the idea," Sarah answered. "And I think for a long time people were talking about it as…if it had been, people were moving forward with it in a real way, but we were unaware of it."

Sarah revealed that they had all said yes!

"But I think now we’ve gotten to the point where we’ve all, we’ve agreed publicly to the right people, ‘Yes, that would be a very very fun idea,'" she said, which is good news for the people at Disney+, who had recently announced they wanted to develop the sequel.

"So we’ll see. We’ll see what the future holds,” Sarah said.

If I get to see the Sanderson sisters on my screen again, no matter how much I wish for the era of sequels and reboots to be over, I'll be incredibly grateful in this particular instance!
