One good thing about everyone being stuck at home is that it's given us so many celebrity, television, and movie reunions that I almost don't know what to do with them all!
The latest is the cast of Splash, the 1984 romantic comedy starring Tom Hanks as a man who falls in love with a mermaid, Daryl Hannah, who reunited on Josh Gad's series, _Reunited Apart.+
"I was terrified because I was still, even though I was like 21 or 22, I still really hadn't had a boyfriend. I was terrified about the kiss," Daryl recalled to Tom's amusement.
When it came to the other underwater scenes, she didn't fare much better.
"So it was like hit or miss whether we got the signals or understood them."
Director Ron Howard explained that the entire cast had to be trained in scuba diving, which Tom was a fan of.
“That was one of the best great adventures of the whole thing,” Tom said. “Between going on vacation and getting paid to learn how to scuba dive.”
“Daryl had to spend hours getting glued into that very painful thing,” Tom recalled. "I remember seeing your toes once, Daryl, and they had to squeeze them in so hard they were bleeding.”
"I still have the scar!" Daryl replied, holding her foot up to the camera.
