In the three months that followed the show’s release, the rate of suicide went up.
This was proved in a study by Dr. Thomas Niederkrotenthaler of the Medical University of Vienna.
There were about 94 more suicides than were expected.
The deaths happened with young girls between 10-19.
“What we saw was a sudden increase in suicides only in youth, not in older people, and in particular in young women.” He said .
It’s a very shocking and terrible situation.
The fact that this has been revealed is just horrifying, but that won’t stop people from watching the show.
