Jake Gyllenhaal Reveals He 'Definitely' Wants To Be A Dad: 'I've Turned To Love'

It turns out that nobody is immune to baby fever, not even celebrities!

Jake Gyllenhaal is known for his work in Nightcrawler, Spiderman: Far From Home, Brokeback Mountain, and Donnie Darko, but he's also known for being a heartthrob. As Jake approaches 40, it looks like he's interested in settling down.

In a new interview, Jake has gotten candid about his desire to have a family of his own.

While discussing a play he was supposed to be starring in this summer with Vogue, Jake discussed how “the act of making love to make a child… the real thing is life. You get to the end of the show and that’s what it’s about. Children. Children and art.”

Jake went on to say that he's started to become more aware of his desire to have a family.

“Seeing life as something that is, you know, fleeting, and the world being as it is now,” he said, “I’ve turned to my family, I’ve turned to my friends and I’ve turned to love. I’m a little less interested in the work, I would say, and more interested in that.”

The interviewer asked if Jake wanted to have children of his own and be a father.

“Yes, of course I do,” Jake said. “I definitely do. I think that’s probably the reason I see the end of the show the way that I see it. I know that’s why I see the end of the show the way that I see it."

This isn't the first time Jake has spoken out about this desire.

"I do hope to be a father one day," he told People last summer. "I want to continue becoming more of an adult than I already am. Hopefully with a family of my own.”

I'm sure there'll be no shortage of volunteers!
