'Black Mirror' Creator Not Working On Season Six Because The World Is Too Sad Right Now

I'm so sorry Black Mirror fans, it seems that a sixth season is FAR off into the future because the show's creator has decided the world is actually too sad right now to handle it!

And if that isn't a daunting sign of the times right now, I don't know what is, lol.

If you're a fan of the British anthology series *Black Mirror* you know the whole gag of the show is to take realistic events and characters and twist them into a recognizable-but-disturbing world.

It's truly just one big mind game that also fascinates you then promptly gives you nightmares!

However, with the global pandemic, show creator Charlie Brooker basically said he's not working on new episodes of the series because, well... he knows how to read a room.

Hi, in case you didn't realize, we're kinda of IN A NIGHTMARE RIGHT NOW!

"At the moment, I don't know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I'm not working away on one of those," Brooker told Radio Times this week.

"I'm sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I've been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh."

I mean I, for one, couldn't agree more. In fact, I have only been watching comedies these days, it's a must!

Are you disappointed with the wait for season 6 of Black Mirror?! Let us know in the comments below!
