Kate Beckinsale Talks 'Ridiculous' Double Standards For Women Who Date Younger Men

Kate Beckinsale is sticking it to the man.

The British actress just spoke to Women's Health about the double standard that women face when they date younger men.

Did she mention Pete Davidson? You 'betcha. Plus, so much more.

If there's something Kate Beckinsale knows all too well, it's getting flack for dating younger men.

The 46-year-old experienced this firsthand when she dated 26-year-old Pete Davidson for four months in 2019.

The pair were first spotted getting cozy at Netflix’s Golden Globes after party in January.

This wasn't too long after the SNL star had broken off his engagement to Ariana Grande.

It was Kate and Pete's love of PDA that caught their relationship a lot of attention.

They were photographed kissing at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Despite an obvious physical chemistry, things soon fizzled four months later.

A source told People that “it was the long distance" that broke them up.

“They’re still friendly, but it just didn’t work out.”

Now, in a new interview with *Women's Health* Kate is finally opening up about their controversial relationship.

"If everyone’s [expletive] on you, it can make you feel kind of ugh for a minute – especially if there’s really nothing wrong,’ she said.

"If you’re strangling a squirrel or hurting someone, I get it, but living one’s life in a reasonably respectful manner shouldn’t invite anyone to get too excited."

"It can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all," she continued.

She went onto clarify the kind of fun she's having.

"I don’t mean doing drugs and drinking and partying, because I never am, but being goofy, and going out."

In other words, she may be 46, but she won't be playing Bingo anytime soon.

"Not going, “Oh my god, I’m going to sit home and anticipate menopause while crocheting," she explained.

She continued:

"It somehow seems to be risqué, which is just ridiculous to me," she said.

This stings even more when she sees men living their lives how they please without judgement.

"I witness men constantly doing whatever they like, whether that’s in relationships or deciding to buy a motorbike or getting a tattoo," she added.

"It hasn’t been interpreted as, ‘Is he ever going to decide to become a parent?’ or, ‘Why has he had so many girlfriends?’”

Taylor Swift 'The Man' plays

It's a good thing Kate has this kind of devil-may-care approach.

That's because the British actress is currently dating 22-year-old Canadian musician, Goody Grace.

He's 24 years her junior, but Kate doesn't let that bother her.

When someone on Instagram even tried to come for the couple, she clapped back.

“Try and see if your new tom (sic) boy will adhere," they commented on a video of her training her cat to sit inside a box.

“Try and see if you can spell and not just goon yourself straight out the gate," Kate responded.

So, in summary, Kate will keep on doing her thang by dating younger men!
