Miley Cyrus Puts Makeup On Her Boyfriend To Encourage Ending Toxic Masculinity

Miley Cyrus has been defying gender stereotypes and advocating for gender norms to be long forgotten for ages.

So, it hardly comes as a surprise to find out that one of her quarantine activities was to give her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, and makeover.

If there's one thing to know about Miley Cyrus, it's that she does not play around when it comes to the fight against gender stereotypes.

Ever since coming out as pansexual, she has been advocating for everyone to just be who they are instead of what society tells them they should be.

While most of the time she appears to embrace her feminine side, she isn't afraid to play into her mascule side as well.

Like last March, when she made an appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race, dressed as a man.

She wore brunette facial hair, a ball cap, and a pair of glasses.

She called herself, Barry Johnson.

It's unclear why she chose that to be her drag name, but it worked!

She did not disappoint!

There were a lot of Hannah Montana references— which is something we haven't gotten much of from her in the past.

Anyway, she's back at it again — bending gender norms. But this time, she's teamed up with her boyfriend, Cody Simpson.

To celebrate Easter in the most unconventional way imaginable (and probably to remedy their boredom), Miley gave Cody a makeover.

Cody unveiled his bold, new look on Sunday via Instagram.

He can be seen wearing bright red lipstick, bronzer, dark eyeshadow, and a diamond choker.

Serving lewks.

It was the perfect way to shut down toxic masculinity.

Tbh, Cody looks fierce. He is seriously pulling it off better than most people could.

Here it is! Feast your eyes on this:

“End. Toxic. Masculinity,” Miley captioned one of the photos.

This really is something to behold. He looks like a supermodel!

And of course, fans LOVED it.

The message Miley and Cody were trying to get across was received loud and clear for their fans. They stan Cody's glamorous new look and so do I!

One person chimed in, calling Cody a real man for doing this.

I second this. A real man should feel comfortable enough in his own skin to wear makeup if he wants to!

This fan hilariously pointed out that Cody looks like he's been waiting for this shining moment his entire life, and I have to agree. The camera loves him.

He slayed!

Another person pointed out what a perfect pair he and Miley are.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still not totally over Miley and Liam's breakup. But after seeing this, Cody really does seem like her perfect match!

Other fans commented, acknowledging just how hard quarantine is hitting Miley and Cody.

They clearly reached new heights of boredom that very few have ever experienced.

"Wash your hands and end toxic masculinity,” Cody originally captioned his post, before changing it to two emojis instead.
