People Bored At Home Are Sharing Pics Of Their Baking Fails Online

I've admitted this before and I'm going to admit it again: baking is not my forte. Don't get me wrong — I love cooking but when it comes to baking, I usually fail.

It must be the fact that you have to be exact for a recipe to turn out alright and I prefer to...experiment. Ha, ha! It looks like I'm not the only one who struggles with baking, though, as these people shared their attempts online.

If your banana bread turns out like this, perhaps you need to get someone else to be the baker in your kitchen.

That does't look right to me, lol.

This looks more like roadkill to me than anything resembling bread. Am I being too harsh or do you see this, too?

But glad it tasted okay at least.

I'm not really sure what this person was trying to make, but I am pretty sure it wasn't supposed to turn out like this.

Oh, that's just sad.

So, apparently, this was supposed to be a batch of almond butter cookies. The only thing is, I don't see the cookies part.

Did they all melt together? How did that happen?

Banana bread is just about the one thing I actually am able to bake. So how is it that so many people seem to fail at this?

What's going on?

That time you realized that baking may not be for you. I've never burned cookies like this but I still feel really bad for this lady.

Oh, that looks bad.

Apparently, this is what happens when you forget to put flour in your cookie dough. Oh, ok. This explains a lot.

But wait, what else went in there then?

It looks like this person attempted to make a Mickey cake only something went horribly wrong.

As long as it tastes good, that's all that matters, no?

Raise your hand if you love cinnamon rolls, too? OMG, I can't resist them.

Somehow I don't think this is how they're supposed to turn out, though. Right?

Word to the wise, if you think the cake pan is too small, listen to that little voice inside.

It's trying to tell you something for a good reason. Ha, ha!

It looks like this lady has this lockdown baking nailed, huh?

I think she needs to go back to the basics and just remember to set a timer on her oven.

I admit I've never attempted to make regular bread by myself before, so I'm not sure how that goes.

But somehow I gather it isn't as easy as it sounds.

Um, what in the heck is this supposed to be? Someone called them "reverse cupcakes," lol.

I'm not sure but I really don't like the look of these. Yikes.

Just a little bit of advice here, before you attempt to make bread with cheese and herbs, make sure that the baking powder didn't expire, like, five years ago.

LOL! Anyone want to try some?

OMG, I've always wanted to make homemade macarons but I'm absolutely petrified of this happening to them.

Heck, at least this lady tried. I'm too scared to. Ha, ha!

Sometimes it just looks too good to be true. When you try to take the cake out of the pan, that's when disaster really strikes.

I feel bad for this dude.

When this happens to your fabulous custard cream recipe, just blame your daughter for incorrectly weighing and measuring out the ingredients.

Better luck next time, ladies. Okay? Ha, ha!

Oh, man. That must've stung. This looked like a perfect key lime pie until this happened.

Would you try to salvage what's left or just forget about it?

If you describe the taste of the bread you just made as "foam cushion," that's definitely not a good thing.

In this case, looks can be deceiving for sure.

You know it isn't a good sign when your sourdough is trying to escape from the pan. I don't blame it.

I think it's trying to warn you.

If you ever considered doing any overnight baking, perhaps this should serve as a warning to you. I honestly don't think it's a good idea.

These bread rolls agree with me.

Oh my gosh!

I'm reluctantly admitting here that, somehow, looking at these baking fails makes me feel better about my own poor skills. I feel their pain, though.
