This photo was taken during Walker's first-ever on-screen interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Paul was 26 at the time and still relatively unknown.

But before he was ever fast and furious, he was a Deedle.

Disney

Paul's first leading role was as Phil Deedle in Meet the Deedles.

It was a story about two burnout surfer brothers who became Park Rangers.

He began to make a name for himself playing the hunk in *She's All That*.

Miramax

Walker played the stuck-up Dean Sampson, opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in She's All That.

The film is to this day considered to be a 'chick-flick' classic.

Paul then went on to star in the high school football drama *Varsity Blues*.

Varsity Blues set out to showcase the ugly side of high school athletics in America.

Walker played star Quarterback, Lance Harbor.

But his big break came in 2001 when Paul landed *The Fast And The The Furious*.

Universal Pictures

Paul played detective Brian O'Conner opposite Vin Diesel.

While the film received mixed reviews from critics, audiences everywhere ate it up.

The film launched a franchise. Paul appeared in six subsequent FF films and had signed on for a seventh.

The Fast and the Furious helped launch the careers of countless actors such as Michelle Rodriguez.

Even superstars like The Rock have made cameos.

But during the filming of *F7* tragedy struck.

Universal Pictures

While driving in his Porsche Carrera, Walker and his financial advisor Roger Rodas hit a pole traveling at over 100mph.

Neither survived the fatal crash.

People around the world were in shock. The whole event seemed surreal.

Dwayne Johnson was just one of many celebrities who voiced their condolences for Paul's family at the time of his death.

Paul was survived by his young daughter, Meadow.

I'm not going to lie, this had me choking up pretty hard...
