Reese Witherspoon Teased 'Legally Blonde 3' And Jennifer Lopez Totally Fangirled
I can hardly contain my excitement.
Reese Witherspoon hinted to Jennifer Lopez in an Instagram live-stream yesterday that there is probably going to be a THIRD Legally Blonde movie.
And as somebody that is on day 23 of quarantine, I gotta say, this is the most significant glimmer of hope I've seen in a while.
With all of the bad going on in the world right now, this is the kind of positivity people need!

So, obviously, I'm dying to know what Elle Woods is up to these days.
Back in 2015, Reese hinted that "Legally Blonde 3" wasn't off the table.

"A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it," she said.
"I actually think it's kind of great right now, because we're talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women," she continued.

"I think it'd be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office—like president!"
In 2016, she added to that point, explaining why it was such an optimal time to make "LB3" happen.

"I do think it's a good time to do it," she told E! News. "I think women need that kind of positivity right now."
Then, in 2018, Reese actually confirmed that "Legally Blonde 3" was happening.
"It's true...#LegallyBlonde3," she wrote alongside this photo on Instagram of her wearing her classic Elle Woods sequined pink bikini.
But alas, two years have gone by and still, sadly, no sign of the movie...

Just when I thought all hope had been lost, Reese took to Instagram live yesterday with Jennifer Lopez...

During their conversation, J-Lo revealed that her 12-year-old twins, Emme and Max, recently watched Legally Blonde together.
"Oh, my god, we watched Legally Blonde the other day," Jen said.

"Literally, like, four days ago. Oh, my god, I forgot—I can't believe I didn't tell you."
"They loved it. Loved it. It was so much fun. You were so amazing in that," she added.

Just then, Reese cut in to correct Jen, explaining that there is a Legally Blonde 2, but as of yet, not a third installment.
"Well, no, there's a 2 ," Reese chimed in. "But I'm thinking we might be working on a 3."

Okay, so, "might" is pretty vague.
But I'll take it. It's better than nothing.
