Over the past several weeks, more and more famous faces have gone public with their diagnoses.

This includes Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Andy Cohen, and Kristofer Hivju.

Today, it was even revealed that Prince Charles tested positive.

The heir to the British throne is currently self-isolating in Scotland. His office revealed that he's only displaying mild symptoms.

He's been busy with public events lately, so it's likely that he caught the virus during one of them.

As for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, the 93-year-old is said to be in "good health" and she is staying in Buckingham Palace.

She's "following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare," a statement from Buckingham read.

The Queen last saw Charles on March 12 for a public awards ceremony in London.

While one famous mother is doing well, the same sadly can't be said for another...

Minnesota Timberwolves player Karl-Anthony Towns recently shared the devastating news that his mother is on life support battling coronavirus.

He made the heartbreaking announcement in a viral video shared to Instagram on Wednesday.

"Sharing my story in the hopes that everyone stays at home! We need more equipment and we need to help those medical personnel on the front lines."

He concluded with this, "Thank you to the medical staff who are helping my mom. You are all the true heroes! Praying for all of us at this difficult time."

In the video, the athlete began by saying that he wants to update fans on his life.

While looking emotional, he revealed that he was informed last week that his parents weren't feeling well.

When this happened, he advised them to seek medical help immediately.

"She kept getting worse and the hospital was doing everything they can, I was doing everything I could — still am — and she just wasn't getting better," he said about his mom, Jacqueline.

"Her fever was never cutting from 103, it would go down to 101.1 with the meds and immediately spike back up. During the night, she was very uncomfortable, her lungs were getting worse, the cough was getting worse, she was deteriorating."

Towns went on to explain how the family remained hopeful, always thinking that the next treatment option would help.

But sadly, that wasn't the case.

While his dad was released from the hospital with instructions to quarantine himself, his mother had to stay.

The athlete had to pause several times during the video as he was getting emotional talking about his mother's condition.

"The day that she was feeling great, we talked and she felt she turned a corner, I felt she was turning a corner ... and then they said that she went sideways."

With her lungs were getting worse and her feeling disoriented, she had to be put into a medically-induced coma.

"It came to a point where it's been difficult, it's been very difficult for me and my family, to say the least."

Karl hasn't been able to talk to his mother since that day.

He said that he's trying to remain strong for his family during this difficult time.

He also wants to let people know that the coronavirus is very serious, which is why he made this video.

"This disease is real," he said. "This disease needs not to be taken lightly. Please protect your families, your loved ones, your friends, yourself."

"This disease is deadly," he said, before adding that he and his family are going to "keep fighting this."

"We gonna beat it, we gonna win. I hope my story helps, my story gives you the correct information. I send my love to all your families. I'm praying for every single one of you guys."

He then concluded his video by asking his friends and fans to keep his mother in their prayers.
