Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Donating Meals To Families In Need During The Coronavirus Crisis

As Mr. Rogers always said, during times of crisis or hardship, we should always be looking for the helpers — the people who are doing what they can to improve upon a hard situation, like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. Some of the information in this story may have changed since publication, and we encourage readers to use online resources from CDC and WHO to stay up to date on the latest information surrounding COVID-19.

During this tough time where we are encouraged to keep ourselves isolated, some families are stocking up and hoarding groceries, which has made it hard for those families that can't afford to buy in bulk to stay stocked up.

With so many workplaces being forced to close as well, it can be tough for those families to be able to afford even the basic necessitites.

Arnold is teaming up with the video platform TikTok to help those families out.

TikTok will be making a $3 million donation towards Arnold's After School All-Stars Program.

The ASAS Program will then be distributing free meals to families in need, which is especially helpful for families who relied on school's free meals in order to feed their children who are struggling with school closures.

Families in 60 cities will be gifted food vouchers and gift cards.

The support will first be going to families in cities that have been hit the hardest by the virus, including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Seattle.

The food will be supplied by Safeway, Target, and Walmart, among others.

What an amazing gift that will make such a huge deal to these families that are struggling!
