Tom Hanks Gives Health Update After Being Released From The Hospital: 'We Are All In This Together'

The spread of COVID-19, or the coronavirus, has caused a lot of fear and anxiety in the world, especially when it comes to the health of those we care about, be they our friends and family or celebrities/athletes that we support.

Beloved actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were among the first major celebrity cases of the virus.

Tom shared via Instagram post, "we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive," and were then immediately put into isolation in Australia, where they were filming at the time.

Now that the couple have been released from the hospital, Tom has taken to Instagram again to share an update.

"Hey folks. Good News: One week after testing Positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same," Tom wrote, referring to his initial announcement where he was only experiencing "some body aches" and felt like he had a cold.

"No fever but the blahs. Folding the laundry and doing the dishes leads to a nap on the couch."

"Bad news: My wife @ritawilson has won 6 straight hands of Gin Rummy and leads by 201 points. . But I have learned not to spread my Vegemite so thick. I travelled here with a typewriter, one I used to love."

"We are all in this together. Flatten the curve. Hanx."
