If you have a child who’s a huge fan of Harry Potter and has begged you to decorate their room in a Hogwarts style, listen up.
A simple, themed mural turned into a project one mom didn’t exactly anticipate but in the end, it looks so fantastical that she’s not sorry about it one bit. But don’t say I didn’t warn you if you plan on doing this yourself.
When your daughter asks you for a “Harry Potter”-themed mural, I don’t think she really expected to get something like this.

I mean, talk about sparing no detail here.
According to the mom, there were many layers and attempts that went into making this, and although it’s not 100% perfect, it’s definitely her best work to date.

It looks pretty perfect to me!
She really took the time and the necessary steps to ensure that Harry’s cape had a very realistic feel.

It looks just like real fabric. Unreal!
Check out this classroom corner she created for her daughter which looks like a perfect little spot to do all that studying.

Don’t you think? What a magical place.
Imagine if your kid had a place like this to go to sleep?

The view from the window on the left is a shot from The Prisoner of Azkaban . Wow!
This area is actually under the bed.

It’s a cozy little corner with a fish tank and a fireplace. The painted beam is just part of the bed.
These are the top shelves in the bookcase.

This handy mom made the potion bottles a few years ago for her daughter’s Harry Potter themed birthday party. How nice!
Here’s a close-up of the study I showed you earlier.

You can see how intricate all the painting and all the details are here. I’m quite impressed by this.
How lovely is this fun portrait wall she created?

It features photos of her daughter, postcards from museums, and a beautiful portrait of her daughter she painted herself.
If you can believe it, this brick wall is actually hand-painted.

How amazing that she did this all herself and tried to make it as similar to the books and movies.
Here’s a more detailed look at how the bed area looks.

I’m totally digging this whole Hogwarts vibe here. Just check out this amazing looking chandelier, too.
What a cool way to use up all that empty space by having a bookcase right on the side of the bed.

This gives the room that extra special feel.
This mom literally squealed when she found this poster of the Fat Lady.

And of course, she couldn’t resist bringing her home with her to finish off this awesome bedroom.
I’m amazed at the lengths some parents will go to in order to make their kid’s dreams come true.
This mom definitely put her heart and soul into making this.
