'Song Of The South' Won’t Be Added To Disney+, It's 'Not Appropriate In Today's World'

Disney+ should be a place where you can get every single Disney film, regardless of when they were made. Well, except for all the racist ones.

But then we'd have to take out Lady and The Tramp, The Aristocats, Peter Pan, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and more.

But Disney is mostly concerned about one more in particular.

Sorry, "Song of the South" fans...

But it seems that the movie you like so much will never be appearing on the Disney+ service.

Even with that whole disclaimer thing they were going to add.

The one that goes...

Disney+

“This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.’

Even that all-encompassing and well thought out disclaimer isn't enough to save Song Of The South. It's pretty much a goner.

How do we know for sure?

Disney+

The big man himself, Bob Iger, said it.

While replying to a question about whether or not every Disney movie would make the service, he said all but Song Of The South, as it was “not appropriate in today’s world”.

So there you have it.

Is this the best thing that Disney could have done? Are you happy to see Song Of The South swept under the rug? Or are you sad to see it go?
