Since becoming a mother of two, Keira Knightley thinks it's time to hang up her on-screen birthday suit for good!
She recently admitted in an interview with The Financial Times, that from now on, she prefers to remain clothed in all of her films going forward.
She opened up in an interview with The Financial Times about her decision.
But 12 years and two children later have changed Keira's perspective a bit.
Emilia Clarke revealed on Dax Shepard's podcast, Armchair Expert, back in November, that she was actually pressured to do nude scenes in an effort to not let Game of Thrones fans down.
“But I’d come fresh from drama school, and I approached [it] as a job," she explained. "If it’s in the script then it’s clearly needed, this is what this is and I’m gonna make sense of it… Everything’s gonna be cool."
"I’ve never been on a film set like this before, I’d been on a film set twice before then," she recalled. "And I’m now on a film set completely naked with all of these people, and I don’t know what I’m meant to do".
"I’m gonna cry in the bathroom and then I’m gonna come back and we’re gonna do the scene and it’s gonna be completely fine.”
"Which is why the scenes, when I got to do them with Jason, were wonderful," she said. "Because he was like, ‘No, sweetie, this isn’t okay.’ And I was like, ‘Ohhhh.'”
I’ve had fights onset before where I’m like, ‘No, the sheet stays up.'"
“That was a choice," she said. "I get to choose the body double".
"It kind of goes like, ‘That’s a little bit like you, but better. She has a lovely body, so she can do this.’… then I get final approval of what the edit is.”
"I have had a kid, I am in my thirties, I am very happy with my body."
She explained that she would prefer not to have her nude scenes used as pornography.
"And maybe a crappy paper would put it somewhere," she continued.
Better safe than sorry, amirite?!
"But now, you can take the whole thing and put it in a completely different thing, and it’s on some porn site," she said.
