Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines Has 'No Regrets' Over George W. Bush Comments

Ah yes, the early and mid-2000s. It seemed like a simpler time for a lot of us because we were too busy playing PS2 and watching WWE.

But it really was a tumultuous time for the U.S.A. And a lot of people lashed out at the president because of it.

Weird, right?

“Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence. And we’re ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas.”

These were the words spoken by Dixie Chicks member Natalie Maines back in 2003 in response to George W. Bush and his decisions about the Iraq War.

It was a strange time when Hollywood artists would speak out against the President (he said, sarcastically).

But the fact of the matter is, when your basis is people who vote Republican, it's probably not the best idea to bash a Republican.

"But when I think back, it's like that movie Sliding Doors, right? Where would we be today if I hadn't said that? That's interesting. I really don't know if I would take it back,"
