Dwyane Wade's Daughter Zaya Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Coming Out As Transgender
Dwyane revealed that his daughter was willing to be open about her gender journey on 'The Ellen Show.'

“Me and my wife Gabrielle Union are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community,” Wade told Ellen, adding, "Zaya, our 12-year-old, came home — first Zion, I don’t know if everyone knows, originally named Zion, born as a boy — came home and said, ‘Hey, I want to talk to you guys. I think going forward I’m ready to live my truth, I want to be referenced as she and her, I would love for you guys to call me Zaya.'"
This weekend Zaya made her first appearance on the red carpet, and she looked amazing.

"Everyone allow her to re-introduce herself," Dwyane shared alongside this picture of Zaya strutting her stuff. "Her name is Zaya Wade!"

Zaya looked amazing, and it's so wonderful to see her supported so fiercely by her family!
