'Mall Madness' Is Making A Comeback For People Who Need To Escape Adulting

Y'all, there was truly nothing like a '90s sleepover. Sure, sleepovers in any other decade could be cool, but not AS cool or fun.

There was pizza, soda, glitter, fake makeup, and the game Mall Madness.

Remember Mall Madness?

This was the only chance for tweens to feel like they could shop 'til they drop without their parents involved.

Basically, each player was given a shopping list and had to purchase six items on the list and quickly get back to the parking lot or player's final destination before the others.

All of your plays were directed by a computer, which, to be honest, was pretty technologically advanced for a board game in the late '80s.

Unfortunately, after two iterations of the game, it went into the nonexistant Vintage Vault of Pop Cultural Treasures.

So sad.

However, Mall Madness is back to tug on the heartstrings of nostalgic Millennials.

And, to be honest, going on a shopping spree is still the dream for many of us.

Between all the adult responsibilities of paying for phone bills, student loans, mortgages, Internet, streaming services, groceries, you're lucky if you're able to buy the strap off a camisole from Aritzia!

In an effort to be more gender inclusive, Mall Madness is back with an updated version after marketing to girls during its run from 1988 onward.

According to Bustle, you can now play as Gwen, Sage, Avery, or Dax.

Besides the gender-inclusive marketing move, the object of the game remains the same, so you don't have to worry about memorizing a whole new game.

I'm looking at you, Game of Thrones Monopoly!

Looks like it's time to grab the sleeping bags, put on some Alanis Morissette, and get in line to get the new Mall Madness game.

Oh, and don't forget the booze.

Pre-order the updated Mall Madness from Amazon for $24.99.
