Unicorn Vodka Exists And It's As Magical As It Sounds

There are a lot of unusual things that come from The Land Down Under. Unfortunately, it's the scary ones that tend to make headlines. (Giant spiders, anyone?)

On the more welcome front, however, is Unicorn vodka, a magical, alcoholic drink that sparkles like its namesake.

You'll want to serve it shaken and/or stirred.

The world's first color-changing shimmery drink, it's "tropical-flavored" and blends notes of passionfruit, mango, and pineapple. Meanwhile, its vivid blue color is thanks to organic flower petals. Swirl it and the blue spirit changes to purple.

You can also DIY unicorn vodka at home.

Unfortunately, the brand doesn't ship outside of Australia, but you can make your own at home. This website gives DIY instructions on how to create color-changing cocktails.

Basically, it all comes down to this ingredient.

Butterfly pea flour is an edible additive that will turn your drinks a vivid shade of blue that will also change to purple and pink with the addition of acid (i.e. a spritz of lemon). It's totally natural, has no taste, and it also qualifies as a superfood.

You can add it to baked goods, popsicles, and smoothies, too.

And you'll get fun, blue creations that the kids will love to eat.

Your creations never looked so magical.

And you thought unicorns were a myth!
