After Three Years In Retirement, McDonald's Shamrock Shakes Are Returning Nationwide

They say nothing good lasts forever, and many times, that can be true. Blockbuster, emo music, Britney and Justin, T9, and long division are just a few good things that have unfortunately perished over the years.

On rare occasions, some good things are resurrected, like Dunakroos, the McRib, and now the minty fresh Shamrock Shake.

After three years in retirement, McDonald's Shamrock Shake is back to get the St. Paddy's day party started!

While the shake has been offered at select locations over the years, this will be the first time in three years that all states can enjoy the smooth, creamy, and minty beverage.

If you're unfamiliar with what makes a Shamrock Shake, let me tell you.

It's made up of McDonald's classic vanilla soft serve, green minty shamrock syrup, and topped with whip thanks to it being a McCafe item.

If that wasn't enough reason to get up and do a little Irish jig, the shake is turning the big 5-0 this year, too!

The green shake has been through a lot over these past 5 decades, going through periods of being discontinued and re-formulated and whatnot.

But you know what? 50 is a big deal, and so they're also releasing an Oreo Shamrock McFlurry.

Look out for both treats for a limited time starting February 19! And gobble them up while you can, because you never know when they could disappear into a pot o' gold again.
