Jessica Simpson has been holding nothing back for her debut book, a memoir entitled Open Book, including the details of her marriage and subsequent divorce from singer Nick Lachey.

Nick Lachey Responds After Jessica Simpson Details Their Divorce In New Book
Jessica and Nick got married in 2002 after dating for four years.
Their marriage became the subject of the reality show Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica, and lasted for three years.
"He was my first love," Jessica told People in preparation for her book.
“We were young and pioneering our way through reality television, always mic’d and always on."
“We worked and we were great at it but when it came time to being alone, we weren’t great at it anymore. We really got crushed by the media and by ourselves."
"I couldn't lie to our fans and I couldn't give somebody hope that we were this perfect golden couple."

With all the discussion and headlines flying around about Open Book, it only makes sense that Nick would be asked his opinion on the subject, and his answer was surprising to some fans.
“I’ll be honest, I obviously haven’t read the book," Nick began.
"I don’t know what she said or what she revealed there, but I’m certainly happy for her and her life, I know she is happy for us,” Nick continued.
“There’s definitely a mutual respect there, so that’s, you know — obviously it was a long time ago; we’ve all moved on."
It's nice to see that there's no bad blood between the two, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting a Newlyweds cast reunion any time soon either!
