Vanessa Bryant Shares Tribute To Kobe And Gianna: 'There's No #24 Without #2"

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers returned to the court to play their first game since NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash.

As TODAY reported, two court-side seats were left open during the emotional game to honor the pair, one featuring Bryant's No. 24 Lakers jersey, and the other Gianna's No. 2 black Mamba jersey.

Both seats were covered in bouquets of roses.

Kobe's wife Vanessa and their three other daughters Natalie, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 7 months, were absent from the pregame ceremony.

But Vanessa has since shared a photo of the touching tribute to her family on her Instagram page where she wrote, "There is no #24 without #2," and added several hashtags including #DaddysGirl, #OurAngels, and #KobeandGigi.

Vanessa first broke her silence on Wednesday, just days after the helicopter crash claimed the lives of nine people, including her husband and daughter.

Alongside a family photo, she thanked everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and love "during this horrific time."

"There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now," she continued. "I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever.”

Most recently, Vanessa shared a stunning illustration to her Instagram showing Gianna re-imagined as a Lakers player.

"Seeing my baby girl smile and happy again with a basketball under her arm, wrapped in [Lakers] love just warmed my heart," she wrote. "Thank you for this."

Artist Reina Koyano first posted the beautiful illustration to her own Instagram account a few days earlier where she included the caption, "Mambacita #RIP."
