Ryan Reynolds' New Company Completely Drags The Super Bowl In New Ad

Ah, the Super Bowl! A time for various layered dips and chips, angry sports fans a VERY EXPENSIVE COMMERCIALS!

Last year, CBS was charging a record breaking $5.25 MILLION DOLLARS for a 30-second commercial spot during the game.

That rounds out to about $175,000 per second!

That's a lot of money to air something during everyone's washroom breaks, but I digress.

The commercials can be like funny sometimes, I guess?

However, you know whose NOT buying into the Super Bowl commercial game?

Full-time professional jokester and part-time actor, Ryan Reynolds!

That's right, the actor and his new company Mint Mobile are refusing to shell out that kinda money, and have instead gone with a more ~old school~ form of marketing.

THE GOLD OL' NEWSPAPER.

Posting on his Twitter, he wrote: 'Everyone’s buying ads so I bought one too. Not on TV. In the @nytimes.'

He then hashtagged #classy, which is of course, very classy.

"On Sunday, some companries will spend over $5 million dollars to advertise in a game so expensive I can't even mention its name lest we summon its army of lawyers," the ad reads.

"5 MILLION DOLLARS?!"

"As the new owner of Mint Mobile, that's a HARD no. Mint offers premium wireless service for just $15 a month, so we could literally give away over 300,00 months of free service and still save money."

"And that's exactly what we're gonna do. Sign up for Mint Mobile after kickoff and before the final whistle, and get 3 months of Mint Mobile service free."

Ugh Ryan, why are you so good?!
