The world is still in shock and mourning after the tragic passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant on January 26th. Celebrities have come forward in droves to pay their respects and honor Kobe and his family.
On Sunday, January 26th, TMZ broke the news that a helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and six other passengers had crashed in Calabasas.

Tragically, there were no survivors from the crash. While the other victims’ identities have not yet all been released, TMZ did confirm that Bryant and his daughter were on board.
Kobe was 41, and his daughter, a rising basketball star herself, was 13.
The Grammy Awards were taking place in the Staples Centre in Los Angeles the same night, where Kobe played many of his games during his time on the LA Lakers. In honor of Kobe, the Grammys displayed and lit up Kobe’s jerseys for the duration of the event.
Comedian and actor Jim Carrey paid tribute to Kobe with a touching portrait he shared on Twitter.

Shared with a simple heart emoji caption, the portrait shows Kobe in his Lakers jersey, alongside a written “Bye Kobe. Thank you.”
“You were amazing!”
Fans of both Bryant and Carrey were touched by the gesture, with many calling the tribute touching and beautiful.
